Very deep, intense garnet colour. On the nose it displays notes of ripe fruit – prunes, dried apricot – with a touch of roasted coffee at the end. Hints of spice such as white pepper come through next together with nutty aromas (almond) and balsamic notes that add freshness. Fresh fruit such as cranberry dominates on the palate, followed by notes of chocolate and cocoa that build up to a sensation of sweetness on the palate. The tannins are ripe and the wine is long and well balanced.
